Tremblors jolt Haryana, Karnataka on Tuesday

New Delhi: Two earthquakes jolted the Kodagu district of Karnataka and the Jhajjar district of Haryana during the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 28, 2022.

The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) shared seismographs on Twitter, highlighting the affected areas.

Informing about the tremblor measuring a magnitude of 3.5 on the Richter scale in Karnataka, NCS tweeted, “Earthquake of magnitude 3.5  occurred on June 28, 2022, 07:45 IST on latitude  12.50 and longitude 75.45 with a depth of 5 km located in Kodagu, Karnataka, India.”

Earlier a tremblor of magnitude of 3.4 on the Richter scale struck parts of Haryana. “Earthquake of magnitude 3.4 occurred on June 28, 2022, 04:19 IST on latitude 28.73 and longitude 76.64 with a depth of 5km located 13 km North of Jhajjar, Haryana, India,”  the NCS wrote.

No damages to property and casualties were reported so far.
