New Delhi: An earthquake with a magnitude intensity of 4.4 on the Richter scale jolted Mizoram on Saturday, May 21, 2022.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) shared a seismograph on Twitter, highlighting the adjoining areas. According to the seismograph, the neighbouring country of Myanmar also felt the tremblor during the early hours of Saturday.
“Earthquake of magnitude 4.4 occurred on May 21, 2022, 08:44 am IST on latitude 22.71 and longitude 93.34 with a depth of 40 km located 83km South of Champhai, Mizoram, India,” the NCS informed.
No reports of damages to life or property have surfaced so far.
