New Delhi: An earthquake measuring a magnitude intensity of 4.6 on the Richteer scale jolted the Pithoragarh district and adjoining areas of Uttarakhand on Wednesday, May 11, 2022.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) took to Twitter and shared a seismograph, highlighting the affected areas.
“Earthquake of Magnitude4.6 occurred on May 11, 2022, 10:03 am IST on latitude 29.73 and longitude 80.34 with a depth of 5 Km located 20km Northeast of Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand, India,” the NCS tweeted.
No reports regarding damages to life and property surfaced so far.
