New Delhi: A moderate earthquake measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale struck Mizoram, Northern Tripura, and adjoining areas during the early hours of Saturday. Though the intensity was low, people panicked and rushed out of their homes as a precautionary measure.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) shared seismographs on Twitter with a caption that read, “An earthquake of magnitude 3.7 occurred on December 11, 2021, at 12:49 am IST at Latitude 24.01, Longitude 92.59, and a depth of 10 km located 31kms North-Northwest of Aizwal, Mizoram, India.”
