New Delhi: A mild tremblor measuring a magnitude intensity of 4.5 on the Richter scale jolted the Moirang and adjoining districts f Manipur on Friday, September 23, 2022.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) shared a seismograph on Twitter, highlighting the affected areas.
According to the NCS, the epicentre of the earthquake was located approximately 100 km South-East of the Moirang district.
“Earthquake of Magnitude 4.5 occurred on September 23, 2022, 10:02 IST on latitude 23.83 and longitude 94.45 with a depth of 110 km located 100 km SE of Moirang, Manipur, India,” the NCS informed.
No reports of damages or casualties surfaced so far.
