New Delhi: A mild earthquake measuring a magnitude intensity of 4.3 on the Richter scale struck Ladakh on Monday, September 19, 2022.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) shared a seismograph on Twitter, highlighting the affected regions.
“Earthquake of magnitude 4.3 occurred on September 19, 2022, at 09:30 IST on latitude 34.86 and longitude 75.54 with a depth of 10km located 64km West-Northwest of Kargil, Ladakh, India,” the NCS informed.
The tremblor was experienced a day after a 4.0 magnitude earthquake rattled the Leh district of Ladakh on September 18, 2022.
“Earthquake of magnitude 4.0 occurred on September 18, 2022, at 08:36 IST on latitude 35.36 and longitude 78.11 with a depth of 10 km located 142km North-Northeast of Leh, Ladakh, India,” the NCS had said.
However, no reports of damages or casualties surfaced so far.
