New Delhi: A mild earthquake measuring a magnitude 4.3 on the Richter scale jolted the Fayzabad district of Afghanistan on Saturday, August 06, 2022.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) took to Twitter to share a seismograph highlighting the affected regions.
“Earthquake of magnitude 4.3 occurred on August 06, 2022, 01:06 IST on latitude 37.22 and longitude 72.61 with a depth of 115 Km located 183km E of Fayzabad, Afghanistan,” the NCS tweeted.
No reports of damages or casualties surfaced so far. The region is experiencing frequent seismic activity, with the region experiencing their last tremblor in the region on Friday, August 05, 2022.
It was a mild tremblor measuring a magnitude intensity of 4.9 on the Richter scale. “Earthquake of Magnitude 4.9 occurred on August 05, 2022, at 12:38 IST with latitude 36.38 and longitude 71.09 with a depth of 150km located 93km South-Southeast of Fayzabad, Afghanistan,” the NCS informed.
