New Delhi: A mild earthquake measuring a magnitude intensity of 4.3 on the Richter scale jolted Afghanistan on Monday, August 08, 2022.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) shared a seismograph highlighting the affected regions. The tremblor was felt around 10 am near the Pakistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan border.
“Earthquake of magnitude 4.3 occurred on August 08, 2022, 10:00 IST on latitude 36.73 and longitude 71.89 with a depth of 140 km located in Afghanistan,” the NCS wrote.
No reports of damages or casualties surfaced so far. The region is an active seismic zone and has been experiencing a lot of earthquakes lately.
