New Delhi: An earthquake of magnitude 4.1 on the Richter scale jolted the Fayzabad district of Afghanistan on the morning of Friday, July 15, 2022.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) shared a seismograph on Twitter that highlighted the affected areas.
Informing about yet another earthquake in the region, the NCS tweeted, “Earthquake of magnitude 4.1 occurred on July 15, 2022, 10:24 IST on latitude 38.23 and longitude 73.43 with a depth of 80 km located 282 km ENE of Fayzabad, Afghanistan.”
The district lies on the Indo-Afghan border and is a hotbed of seismic activity with at least one tremblor jolting the region each day. No damages or casualties surfaced so far from the earthquake-prone region.
