Tremblor: A 3.5 magnitude Earthquake strikes Odisha

New Delhi: According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), an earthquake measuring a 3.5 magnitude on the Richter scale struck the Bhubaneswar district and adjoining areas of Odisha on Friday, April 15, 2022.

The NCS took to Twitter and shared a seismograph highlighting the affected areas.

“Eathquake of magnitude 3.5 occurred on April 15, 2022, 11:19 am IST at latitude 20.43 and longitude 84.84 with a depth of 10 km located 103 km West of Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India,” the NCS tweeted.

The tremors were felt in Ganjam, Nayagarh, Phulbani and Boudh districts. The epicenter was between Ganjam and Nayagarh districts.

No reports of damage or loss of lives have surfaced so far.
