New Delhi: A mild earthquake measuring a magnitude intensity of 3.5 on the Richter scale jolted the Katra district and adjoining districts of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, September 08, 2022.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) shared a seismograph on Twitter, highlighting the affected regions.
“Earthquake of magnitude 3.5 occurred on September 08, 2022, at 07:52 IST on latitude 33.14 and longitude 75.58 with a depth of 10 km located 62 km ENE of Katra, Jammu and Kashmir, India,” the NCS tweeted.
However, no reports of damages or casualties surfaced so far. The tremblor comes a day after a 3.7 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale jolted the Ladakh district of Jammu and Kashmir on September 07, 2022.
Informing about the earthquake, the NCS had tweeted, “Earthquake of magnitude 3.7 occurred on September 07, 2022, at 12:34 IST on latitude 36.94 and longitude 74.70 with a depth of 10 km located in Leh, Ladakh, India.”
