Tremblor: 4.4 magnitude earthquake jolts Afghanistan

New Delhi: A mild earthquake measuring a magnitude 4.4 on the Richter scale jolted the Fayzabad district of Afghanistan on Wednesday, July 20, 2022.

The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) took to Twitter and shared a seismograph highlighting the affected regions.

Informing about yet another tremblor in the region, the NCS tweeted, “Earthquake of magnitude 4.4 occurred on July 20, 2022, at 04:58 IST on latitude 36.61 and longitude 70.95 with a depth of 150 km located 65km SE of Fayzabad, Afghanistan.”

No reports of damages to property or casualties surfaced so far. The region has been experiencing several tremblors since the last few days.
