New Delhi, July 10: Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon 2024 after beating Tommy Paul, the media reported Wednesday.
Spain’s Alcaraz won 5-7,6-4,6-2,6-2 against American player Tommy Paul in the quarter-finals.
“When I lost the first set it was difficult. But I knew it was a long journey, so I had to stay there.” Alcaraz told reporters after the match.
He will next face Russia’s Daniil Medvedev on Friday, whom he defeated in the semi-finals at Wimbledon 2024.
Alcaraz has already won three Grand Slams while Medvedev has won only one.
