Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government on Saturday announced the extension of lockdown till June 14. Lockdown remained effective enough to bring down the number of covid-19 cases in the state.
The state government in its new order announced only basic relaxations in the restrictions. Few districts of Tamil Nadu including Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Tiruppur reports noticeably cases of coronavirus.
As per the new order, Grocery shops, Wholesale fish markets, vegetables, fruits, and flower shops will remain open from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Districts administration will make temporary arrangements to relocate the fish markets in open areas.
Government offices will be operated with a 30 percent workforce and Registration offices can operate with a 50 percent workforce. The matchbox industry can operate with a 50 percent workforce.
