New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) informed regarding the advancement of monsoons in New Delhi, thereby bringing showers over all parts of the National Capital on Thursday, June 30, 2022.
The IMD also recorded the rainfall in parts of Delhi and wrote, “Due to Monsoon advance over Delhi, most parts of city has reported rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall during past three hours. Rainfall amount (in mm) during this period: Lodhi Road-77.0, Safdarjung Airport: 64.8, Ridge-26.0, Ayanagar-22.6, Palam Airport: 10.4.”
Talking about rainfall over other parts of the country, the IMD wrote on Twitter, “Isolated heavy rainfall likely over Gujarat Region during June 30 to July 03; Madhya Maharashtra on June 30; Coastal Andhra Pradesh on June 30; Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal during June 30 to July 02, and over Konkan and Goa, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe, and South Interior Karnataka during next 5 days.”
The IMD has been closely monitoring the advancement of the Southwest Monsoon. Talking about the advancement of the SW Monsoon winds, the IMD said, “Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into entire Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, some parts of Rajasthan, entire Delhi, some parts of Punjab and Haryana, and Chandigarh, today, June, 30, 2022.”
