New Delhi: The makers released the first trailer of their upcoming Bollywood film, Saroj Ka Rishta.
The trailer shows protagonist Saroj, who is trying to lose weight in order to woo a boy she is fond of, whereas another boy is completely in love with Saroj, simply for being the person that she is, irrespective of her weight and physical features.
The slightly-more-than-two-minutes-long trailer opens with the introduction of the protagonist Saroj, who is completely opposite of how her father describes her to prospective suitors and their families.
Meanwhile, Saroj develops feelings for a boy who is looking for a slim girl, as revealed by her sister. She decides to lose and weight and joins a nearby gym. However, no sooner does she reach the gym to lose weight without any pain, her gym trainer falls for her.
The gym trainer likes her irrespective of her weight and even tells her something that translates to, “It doesn’t matter if the moon is obese, being chubby is the symbol of happiness.”
Meanwhile, her father says that parents shouldn’t marry off their daughters just because she is turning older or that the neighbours are commenting, whereas Saroj’s mother is also seen pouring love advice to her daughter.
Directed by Abhishek Saxena and produced by Anmol Kapoor, Nazia Siddiqui, Narendra Garg and Raman Kapoor, Saroj Ka Rishta features actors Sanah Kapur, Kumud Mishra, Supriya Pathak, Randeep Rai, and Gaurav Pandey in pivotal roles.
