Mumbai: Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Bhumi Pednekar will come together for an upcoming Bollywood film titled Afwaah. The film will be directed by Anubhav Sinha and produced by Bhushan Kumar and Sinha.
Talking about the film, Siddiqui said, “It is an honour to work with Sudhir Mishra again, especially on such a unique subject. Anubhav and Sudhir are both noted for delving into wider societal issues. I admire how their films aim to make a difference. I’m excited to be a part of a project where they’re both working together.”
About his co-actor, he quipped, “Bhumi is a talented actress, and the chemistry she has with her co-stars will be fascinating to see. This will be my first time working with T-Series, and I am excited.”
Sharing her excitement, Pednekar said, “When you are working with such a proficient actor, it makes you want to double your effort. Sudhir sir has always been on my bucket list. It is even more special because I am collaborating with Anubhav Sinha and Bhushan Kumar again after Bheed. I am extremely thrilled to be a part of this project.”
Meanwhile, Anubhav Sinha described the film as “the new narrative set in India’s heartland.” The film will begin its production soon and will be shot extensively in Alwar, Rajasthan.
