New Delhi, April 5: Reliance Industries chairperson and managing director Mukesh Ambani has become Asia’s richest person and is ranked in the 9th position in the whole world as per the list declared by the Forbes World Billionaires List for 2023.
He again remains in his position as Asia’s richest person, with a net worth of USD 83.4 billion.
Last year, in the 36th edition of the Forbes World Billionaires List, he was ranked in the 10th position, whereas this year he ranked in the 9th position, as he becomes India’s wealthiest businessperson.
Furthermore, according to the list, Mukesh Ambani is ranked higher than Larry Page and Sergey Brin of Google, Steve Ballmer of Microsoft, and Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook.
Whereas Gautam Adani holds the second position in India and the 24th position on the worldwide billionaires list for 2023.
The 37th edition of the Forbes World Billionaires List was recently announced, with Bernard Arnault and family securing the top spot with a net worth of 211 billion, followed by Tesla CEO and founder Elon Musk in second place and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos in third place, with net worths of 180 billion and 114 billion, respectively.
According to Forbes, the United States has given the most billionaires, as of 735 list of members worth a total of USD 4.5 trillion, whereas China remains in second place with 562 billionaires and USD 2 trillion in worth, followed by India with 169 billionaires worth USD 675 billion.
To give a rank, the net worth was taken into account, and for that, Forbes used stock prices and exchange rates from March 10, 2023.
