Mumbai: Yami is seen in a never seen avatar but the actress has provided a top-notch act with A Thursday, which is a spiritual successor to the 2008 cult classic A Wednesday. The film released on the OTT platform, Disney plus Hotstar on Thursday, February 17, 2022.
The plot is identical to that of A Wednesday, wherein a preschool teacher Naina Jaiswal (Yami Gautam) kidnaps 16 youngsters and wants three things from the cops (Atul Kulkarni & Neha Dhupia). She will murder one child per hour if her demands are not satisfied.
It keeps viewers intrigued and prompts one to wonder about Naina Jaiswal’s history. The story is reasonably engaging and thrilling and keeps you at the edge of your seat.
Yami has done an excellent job in moulding herself into her character, while Atul Kulkarni, who plays Javed Khan, has done an outstanding job in portraying a cop while getting under the skin of his character.
