New Delhi: On Wednesday, the makers announced the revised release date of Sidharth Malhotra and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Mission Majnu. Though the film was supposed to release in cinema theatres on May 13, 2022, the Omicron variant of the virus further postponed the release to June 10, 2022.

Production house RSVP movies shared a new poster from the film with a caption that read, “The target is set! Get ready to be a part of India’s most daring RAW mission in the heart of Pakistan. Inspired by true events, Mission Majnu is releasing on June 10, 2022.”

Inspired by real events, the action-thriller is set in the 1970s. Malhotra will essay the character of a RAW agent who leads a covert operation, titled Mission Majnu, in the neighbouring country of Pakistan. The mission will change the relationship and dynamics of India and Pakistan in the coming years.

The Bollywood film will mark the debut of the South-Indian actor Rashmika Mandanna.

Directed by Shantanu Bagchi, produced by Amar Butala, Ronnie Screwvala (RSVP), and Garima Mehta (Guilty By Association Media), and written by Parveez Shaikh, Aseem Arora, and Sumit Batheja, Mission Majnu will also star Sharib Hashmi and Kumud Mishra in pivotal roles.
