New Delhi: The Kuwait government banned Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming action-comedy film, Beast, on Tuesday, April 05, 2022. The film will release on April 14, 2022.
The Middle-eastern country had previously banned Indian films like Kurup and FIR. The portrayal of Pakistan, terrorists, or violence is a few probable reasons behind the ban. According to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, The Kuwait Ministry of Information and Censor Board is becoming stricter in comparison to other countries in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
The makers released the trailer of Beast on Saturday, April 02, 2022. The trailer shows Vijay as a notorious spy, Veera Raghavan, who fights terrorists and saves people stuck at Chennai’s East Coast Mall from hijackers. The trailer describes him as mean, lean, and powerful as he wields the gun and kills with a sword. The trailer also shows a glimpse of actor Pooja Hegde who seems visibly afraid of Vijay’s character.
Written and directed by Nelson Dilpkumar and produced by Sun Pictures with music composer Anirudh Ravichander, the action-thriller also stars Selva Raghavan, Yogi Babu, Shine Chacko, Redin Kingsley, Aparna Das, and VTV Ganesh in pivotal roles.
