New Delhi, February 7: Rishab Shetty, the maker of the south’s blockbuster movie Kantara, has finally announced the prequel to this movie on the occasion of the film celebrating its 100 days in theatres.
While talking about the movie’s second part, Rishab Shetty, who is the actor and director of this movie, revealed that part two would be the prequel, not the sequel. He further added, “Let me tell you one thing. What you have seen was actually the second part. Now we are going to make Part One, which will be the prior happenings of what you have seen.”
The idea of the prequel came into the director’s mind while they were shooting Kantara. To make the prequel, his team had already begun the research for the upcoming movie to meet with the high expectations of the audience, revealed the actor-director during the event.
The film critic Taran Aadarsh also showed his excitement and wrote over Twitter saying, “Kantara-2, one of the most successful films ever, will now have a prequel.”
The original film Kantara was an action thriller that was based on the ancient tradition of the buta kola. It talks about the relationship between the human and the forest deity and then promises they made each other for lifetime.
The movie Kantara, which was released last year on September 30, was under the label of Hombale Films Production House. Rishab Shetty was the director and writer of this movie and also played the main role in it. The other actors, Achyuth Kumar, Deepak Rai Panaaje, Pramod Shetty, and Manasi Sudhir, were also seen in the movie.
