New Delhi: As a part of its new package of anti-Russian sanctions, Japan will prohibit exports of trucks, dump trucks, and bulldozers to Russia, Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Koichi Hagiuda told reporters on Friday.

“In accordance with the cabinet of ministers’ June 7 decision to prohibit exporting to Russia goods that contribute to the development of industrial infrastructure, a ban on deliveries of heavy-duty vehicles, dump trucks, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment will be in place from June 17,” he said.

However, Adidas has also informed the media that they have not planned to resume commercial operations in Russia, a company spokesperson told the media on Thursday.

“Operations of Adidas stores and online sales in Russia have been suspended until further instruction; this also pertains to the delivery of goods to Russia. There are no plans to resume operations for the time being,” the spokesperson said. Adidas informed about the suspension of operations in Russia on March 9 of this year.
