New Delhi: The fourth edition of a Coordinated Patrol (CORPAT) between the Indian and Bangladesh Navies, which started on May 22, will conclude on May 27.

CORPAT is an annual exercise in which the two navies work together to improve interoperability while conducting maritime operations to combat transnational maritime crime. CORPAT also involves the two countries’ maritime patrol aircraft.

They had held the last CORPAT in October 2020.

Before concluding the exercise on Saturday, ships of the two navies will sail together in the Bay of Bengal on Friday to perform the sea portion of the exercise, which will include naval maneuvers, weapon firings, and interception exercises.
