IMD predicts widespread rainfall in Rajasthan and parts of NE India

New Delhi: On Monday, July 18, 2022, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted fairly widespread rainfall in the Rajasthan state as well as over the North-Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura.

Informing about the rainfall in Rajasthan, the department wrote, “Fairly widespread light/moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls very likely over West Rajasthan during next three days and scattered light/moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls over East Rajasthan during next two days.”

Regarding the weather conditions that prevail over the North-east, the IMD tweeted, “Scattered to fairly widespread moderate rainfall with heavy falls likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura during next two days and widespread rainfall with very heavy falls also likely over the region during July 18-20, 2022.”
