Harbhajan Singh to contribute his Rajya Sabha salary towards education of farmers’ daughters

New Delhi: Former cricketer and Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, Harbhajan Singh, revealed plans to contribute his Rajya Sabha salary towards the education and welfare of the daughters of farmers on Saturday, April 16, 2022.

“As a Rajya Sabha member, I want to contribute my RS salary to the daughters of farmers for their education and welfare,” Singh tweeted.

“I have joined to contribute to the betterment of our nation and will do everything I can. Jai Hind,” he added.

Harbhajan Singh was elected as unopposed member of the Rajya Sabha from Punjab state. He even promised to promote sports and sincerely fulfill the responsibilities entrusted.

The Aam Aadmi Party won a clear majority in Punjab with 92 out of 117 Assembly seats during state elections in March 2022 and received all five Rajya Sabha seats.
