New Delhi, April 7: On the occasion of World Health Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a tweet expressing his gratitude to those who are working in the health field and taking an initiative to improve people’s health.
By sharing the post of the union health minister, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, the Prime Minister, retweeted, “On World Health Day, we express gratitude to all those who worked to make our planet healthier.”
The union health minister, Dr. Mansykh Mandaviya, has shared the tweet on his Twitter account by quoting Mahatma Gandhi’s words expressing the importance of health: “It is health that is real wealth, not pieces of gold and silver—Mahatma Gandhi,” He further wrote about the commitment of their department: “On #WorldHealthDay, we reiterate our commitment to building a healthier India.”
The government has taken initiative in the area of health and is also organising various campaigns and programs to spread awareness about health. It has created various schemes under the national health mission for reproduction, maternal, child, and adolescent health, as well as taking an initiative to promote the Indian healthcare industry.
On such an initiative, the prime minister also promises and gives an assurance to the people of the nation to create a more quality health care system, as he wrote on his social media account, “Our government will continue working to augment health infrastructure and ensure quality healthcare to the people.”
On World Health Day, which is celebrated every year on the date of April 7, the government organises different programmes to spread awareness about health, this year too, the government organised a “walkathon” under the leadership of union health minister Mansukh Madaviya under the theme of this year’s World Health Day, “wealth for all.”
