Mumbai: Venturing into the mobile gaming segment, Netflix on Wednesday introduced five games on its Android mobile application, making these available to worldwide subscribers.
It tweeted, “Let the Games Begin! Netflix Games will start rolling out on the Netflix mobile app first on Android, with iOS on the way. It’s early days, but we’re excited to start bringing you exclusive games, with no ads, no additional fees, and no in-app purchases.”
The five games are Card Blast (by Amuzo and Rogue Games), Teether Up (Frosty Pop), Stranger Things: 1984 (BonusXP), Stranger Things 3: The Game (BonusXP), and Shooting Hoops (Frosty Pop).
Subscribers with a pre-existing account can access these games in online as well as offline mode. Android mobile phone users can see a dedicated games row and games tab to select and download a game of their choice and language. In case their language is unavailable, the game is set to the default English language, Netflix added.
