Celebrate world kidney day with the slogan “kidney health for all” on March 9th

New Delhi, March 6: The kidney education foundation to celebrate the world kidney day to spread awareness about kidney-related diseases on March 9th.

The kidney education website which works for health related issues and mainly focuses on diseases related to the kidney and also promotes to take better care of patients with kidney diseases.

To spread awareness, the foundation celebrating the day with the slogan “kidney health for all –preparing for the unexpected, supporting the vulnerable.”

The diseases which are neglected to care for are rapidly increasing all over. It is said that, worldwide, 850 million people are estimated to have kidney disease. Chronic kidney disease (CKD) caused 2.4 million deaths per year and now it is the 6th fastest growing death cause. More than approximately 1 in 3 adults facing diabetes and 1 in every 5 adults facing high blood pressure health issues have kidney disease, which is more common in women than in men.

It is important to spare light on the serious health issues where approximately 90 per cent of people don’t even know they have kidney related health issues.

In order to spark awareness about the 6th fastest growing disease(CKD), the kidney education foundation work on this issue by delivering the information on their website in all over 40 languages, collaborating with different organisations, including ISN, ASN,WKD etc.
