Mumbai: The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex was down 108.50 points, or 0.15 percent, at 57,755.86. At 17,260.65, the NSE Nifty 50 index was unchanged.
On Monday morning, the Sensex and Nifty traded in a choppy way. After a holiday-shortened week, both indexes opened in the green, but after some time it got big down.
The Nifty and the Sensex gained 3.95 percent and 4.15 percent, respectively, last week, despite the markets remaining closed on Friday for Holi.
Balrampur Chini is raised by 7.93% while Aurobindo Pharm is gained by 7.04 and pharma company Strides Pharma is up by 6.35% those are top gainers of the day, while Vedanta, Glenmark is up by 4.40%, also Granules India, NALCO, Info Edge, Alembic Pharma is respectively gained by 3 to 3.5%.
Top losers of the day
GAIL, Shriram Trans, Petronet LNG is down by more than 3 %, while Godrej Consumer, ACC is lost by 2 to 2.30%.
