New Delhi: American rapper Young Dolph was shot dead in his hometown, Memphis, USA, on Thursday.
Dolph, 36, is survived by a daughter and a son.
The incident occurred while he was buying cookies. An armed man shot him through the shop window, killing him instantly.
Only last week, he had donated $25,000 to his Memphis high school and distributed food in the area.
Several musicians, actors, and rappers took to social media to pay tribute to the late rapper.
As a teenager, Young Dolph started freestyling with friends and released his first mixtape in 2008. His first studio album, King of Memphis, was released in 2016 and ranked 49 on the Billboard 200, followed by Rich Slave featuring a single with rapper Megan Three Stallion in August 2020.
He had a close shave with death in September 2017 when he indulged in an argument with three men at Hollywood Boulevard tourist district.
