New Delhi, March 6: A mega-giant telecom service provider, Bharti Airtel , announced that they are now available to provide 5G service in a total of 265 cities as it launched the Airtel 5G service in more 125 cities in India on Monday.

The telecom giant is now delivering 5G services in every major city in the country, from the upper northern cities to the southern cities, covering all areas of the country.

While talking about the rollout of 125 new cities, Bharti Airtel CTO Randeep Sekhon said that “5G has revolutionised the world of the internet, ushering in a new era of connectivity and communications that will prove to be a game changer for the country.” He further added, “At Airtel, we remain committed to delivering the highest quality of network and service to our customers as we rollout 125 more cities today.”

It is noted that on February 27, 2023, Airtel announced it had launched its high-speed 5 G service in 13 towns in the Jammu and Kashmir areas, as well as on March 2, 2023, the company had crossed the one million customer mark in Mumbai for 5G services. Also, “it has crossed the 10 million milestone of unique 5G users nationally,” said the company.

In August 2022, the government issued a spectrum allocation letter to the telecom service providers to get all prepared to launch the 5G service in the country, and from October 2022, Airtel was the first telecom service provider company to offer a 5G service in the country.

“Airtel is determined to cover all the areas, like towns and key rural areas, for the 5G services by March 2024.” Said the CTO, Randeep Sekhon.
