New Delhi: Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia – Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud expressed concerns about the situation developed in Afghanistan nowadays. The Saudi FM (Foreign Minister) said that “The return and resurgence of terror groups Al-Qaeda and ISIS and the Taliban in Afghanistan is a real concern.”
The way the Taliban have taken over Afghanistan, many countries in the world are in fear of terror. As of now, the Taliban promise that they will not allow any country to use its soil against any country.
The Saudi FM further stated that “Transnational terrorism is a concern. For now, the Taliban have committed that Afghan soil will not be used for terrorism. Saudi Arabia has no contact with the new Taliban government in Afghanistan.
Saudi Arabia was among the only three nations that recognized the Taliban regime in the 1990s, but now Saudi Arabia will wait and watch before recognizing the new regime, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud stated.
During a meeting, Foreign Minister of India – Dr. S Jaishankar – Saudi FM said “We want inclusivity and assurance of peace and stability in Afghanistan. I discussed this and agreed with India.”
Dr. S.Jaishankar – India’s External Affairs Minister on Sunday held talks with his Saudi counterpart. Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud told that Saudi is keen on investing in India.
Saudi FM on Flight service between India and Saudi Arabia said that “Flights between India and Saudi Arabia would be resumed soon for travel as well as pilgrimage. Flights had been suspended as a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic.”
