NEW DELHI, Apr 6: In a horrific incident, a 55-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted and paraded semi-naked in Valtoha village in Tarn Taran district in Punjab.
The attackers were the in-laws of her son because he had married the girl against the wishes of her parents, the police said.
A purported video of the victim being paraded surfaced on the social media on Friday. Police said the incident occurred on March 31, a few days after the victim’s son eloped with a woman and married her against her family’s wishes.
