Ghaziabad: The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has arrested a principal of a School in Ghaziabad and five other members of a School for helping students unethically in the board exams. A principal, a teacher, and other staff members from Saidpur – were accused of demanding bribes worth Rs 25,000 from students appearing for the examinations to give them pass marks.
According to a media report, STF has received accurate information on a malfunction in the district and based on that the STF conducted a raid at Panchayat Bhawan adjacent to Intercollege and arrested three people from the spot.
Students appearing for the exams, and other administrators were also taken into police custody.
The incident comes close on the heels after UP Board’s Class 12 paper was leaked in Ballia, triggering a crackdown on the copying syndicate. The manager of two schools, a teacher, and three staff was accused of opening the tamper-proof packet containing the exam paper and leaking it.
