New Delhi: Tremors shook parts of Meghalaya and Rajasthan in the early hours of Wednesday but there were no reports of any damage.
While tremors shook Meghalaya at 2:10 AM, areas in Rajasthan felt them at 5:24 AM, official reports said.
According to the National Centre for Seismology, tremors hit Bikaner with a magnitude of 5.3 on the Richter Scale. The Western Garo Hills of Meghalaya also experienced tremors with a 4.1 magnitude.
There have been no reports on loss of life, property, or any other damage from anywhere since most people were sleeping in their homes when the calamity struck.
Tremors are a frequent occurrence in the monsoon season. Tremors measuring a 3.8 magnitude were felt in Rajkot at 3:37 AM on Monday.
Manipur had also felt tremors at 10:12 AM on Sunday with Ukhrul as the epicenter.
