The UK to Scrap all Covid Restrictions from Next Week: Boris Johnson

New Delhi: The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson, Sunday announced that “COVID-19 will not suddenly disappear, and we need to learn to live with this virus and continue to protect ourselves without restricting our freedoms. We have built up strong protections against this virus over the past two years through the vaccine rollouts, tests, new treatments, and the best scientific understanding of what this virus can do.”

According to the UK government – a new plan for living with the virus will be set out this week, and the Prime Minister expected to confirm that all regulations that restrict public freedoms will be repealed.

As the COVID-19 pandemic rages on, the UK taking steps to help people learn to live with this virus.

the UK government has already announced that those infected with COVID-19 won’t be legally required to self-isolate in England from the coming week. This would mean that the existing requirement for five days of isolation after a positive COVID-19 test will be replaced with advisory measures, and the coronavirus will be treated more like the flu as it becomes endemic.

Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, which set their own public health rules, have also opened up, although more slowly.
