The Taliban Appreciates India for helping Afghan people: Spokesperson of the Taliban

New Delhi: The Spokesperson of the Taliban – Muhammed Suhail Shaheen on Saturday morning appreciated the efforts India has done in Afghanistan for development. A spokesperson told the media that India has been helping the Afghan people or national projects. We appreciate everything that has been done for the people of Afghanistan like dams, national and infrastructure projects, and anything that’s for Afghanistan’s development, reconstruction, and economic prosperity for people.’

On relations with Pakistan, the spokesperson of the Taliban cleared that “the Taliban has no ties with Pakistan-based terror groups and allegations are baseless.”

In the last few days, several countries including the US, the UK, and India have started closing their embassies in Afghanistan, but the Taliban has assured them that there is no danger from their side to diplomats and embassy staff.

Shaheen in his statement mentioned that “the Taliban have informed many times in its statement that they won’t target any embassy or diplomat and this is our commitment.”

On being asked if the Taliban can assure India that Afghan soil will not be used against it, the spokesperson said that it follows a general policy of not allowing anyone to use Afghan soil against any country including the neighboring nations.

In the end, the Taliban cleared that they will not allow the presence of an army of any county in Afghanistan.
