New Delhi, May 24: World No. 1 Novak Djokovic beat Tallon Griekspoor to advance to the semi-finals of the Geneva Open on Thursday, the media reported.
Novak, 37, won a 7-5,6-1 match against the Dutch player Tallon and became the oldest semi-finalist in the Geneva Open history.
“I was lucky to find some really good serves and from that moment onwards played some good and solid tennis,” Novak told reporters after the match. In the next match, Novak will face the World No.44 Thomas Machac.
The 24-time Grand Slam winner is set to compete at the 2024 French Open on Sunday where he will face the French player Pirre-Hugues Herbert.
