New Delhi, July 20: Spanish superstar Rafael Nadal reached the semi-finals at the Swedish Open 2024 after defeating Argentine Mariano Navone on Friday, the media reported. Nadal won 6-7,2-7,7-5,7-5 against Navone who is world no.36.
“I lost some of my concentration but I was able to hold on physically until the end. That’s so important to me. Let’s see how I am tomorrow, but today I’m alive and in the semi-finals,” Nadal told reporters after the win.
He will next face the Croatian Duje Ajdukovic, who is world no.115, in single semi-finals. The 22 Grand Slam winner, Nadal will also play with Casper Ruud in the doubles semi-finals against Brazilians Orlando Luz and Rafael Matos on Saturday.
