New Delhi, July 16: British player Cameron Norrie defeated Slovakia’s Jozef Kovalik at the Swedish Open 2024 in the first round on Monday, the media reported. World no.42 Norrie won 7-6,7-4,6-4 over Kovalik.
“It was not easy but I thought I managed and competed really well. I served unbelievably in the tie-break and that helped to get me through.” Norrie told reporters after the match.
In the second round, Norrie,28 will face Argentine Mariano Navone on Tuesday.
