New Delhi, June 12: British tennis icon Andy Murray was defeated in straight sets by America’s Marcos Giron at the Stuttgart Open in Germany, the media reported. Murray lost 6-3,6-4 to world no.54 Marcos on Tuesday.
“I’ve had some tough months but physically I feel ok now. The ankle, the back, it’s all felt better since going on to the grass.” Murray, 37, said after the match.
In the second round, Marcos will face another British jack draper on Wednesday. In the next tournament, the three-time Grand Slam winner, Murray, will compete at the 2024 Wimbledon, starting July 1.
