New Delhi, June 21: Tennis youngster Jack Draper has knocked out defending champion Carlos Alcaraz at the 2024 Queens Club Championship, the media reported on Thursday.
Jack,22, won 7-6,7-3,6-3 against world no.2 Alcaraz. “Coming to Queen’s for the home tournament, being British number one, you would think would put more stress on my shoulders. But it’s the opposite. I feel calm and relaxed because I know I’m doing the right things,” Jack told reporters after the match.
World no.31, Jack will now face American Tommy Paul in the quarter-finals on Friday. Last week, Jack Draper won his first ATP title at the Stuttgart Open on Sunday and he was also confirmed as his nation’s leading player on the men’s tour on Monday.
