Singer Kailash Kher was attacked at Humpi Utsav, Karnataka

New Delhi, January 30: Bollywood’s finest singer, Kailash Kher, was attacked with a water bottle while he was live performing on the stage at the Humpi Utsav, Karnataka. The local man has attacked the singer because he is not singing the song in Kannada but in Hindi.

The incident took place at the Humpi Utsav which is carried on in the south state, Karnataka where the legendary singer Kailash Kher was performing live one of his Hindi song. As per the report, it is said that the singer was only singing a Hindi song that triggered the two local men, who demanded the singer to sing a song in Kannada.

Those two angry men allegedly attacked the singer at the live show with the water bottle, but the singer dodged it, and it landed somewhere behind him. Unbothered by that entire fiasco, singer Kailash Kher continues to sing. Later, the staff removed the bottle from the stage.

Immediately, authorities came with a police officer and arrested those two men who had thrown the bottles. As the bottle had not hit him, the singer was unharmed. The media reported. The Humpi Utsav, which is an annual festival organised by the Karnataka government and where the whole fiasco was generated, was celebrated for three days and started on January 27.

The event was held to commemorate the ancient heritage of the Vijayanagar Empire. It is the first time such an event has been held since the formation of Vijayanagar district. The inauguration of the event was done by the Karnataka chief minister, Basavarj Bommani, on the first day of the event.

At the Humpi Utsav, apart from Kailash Kher, there were other renowned singers, including Arman Malik, Arjun Jannya, Vijaya Prakash, Raghu Dikhit, and Anannya Bhath, who were also invited for the performance.
