Russia Comes Forward to Help Stranded Indian Students in Ukraine

New Delhi: As the government of India has maintained a good relationship with Russia in tough times, the government of Russia came forward to help the Indian students in Ukraine. Russia also wants to maintain good relations with the New Delhi government.

After nine days – Russia has decided to help stranded Indian students in Ukraine. Russian National Defense Control Center head Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev on Thursday announced that 130 Russian buses are ready to evacuate Indian students and other foreigners from Ukraine’s Kharkiv and Sumy to Russia’s Belgorod Region.

As ‘Operation Ganga’ continues, three more IAF C-17 aircraft returned to Hindan airbase late Thursday night and early morning today carrying 630 Indian nationals. The IAF took off from airfields in Romania and Hungary.

Another s special Indigo flight carrying 219 Indian nationals stranded in Ukraine reached Delhi today morning.

As the Russia-Ukraine war enters its ninth day, Russian troops attacked Europe’s largest nuclear plant, the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, on Friday morning. Fortunately, no immediate radiation rise was detected. International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN’s atomic watchdog also confirmed that the fire at the site of the nuke plant has not affected ‘essential’ equipment.
