Pro Kabaddi League: Puneri Paltan Defeated U Mumba 36-34

New Delhi: Team Puneri Paltan defeated U Mumba 36-34 in the Pro Kabaddi League at the Sheraton Grand, Bengaluru, on Wednesday, February 02, 2022. Puneri Paltan won the toss and chose the right side of the court while U Mumba went to raid first.

Pune’s Aslam Inamdar conducted a raid and got two points off Harendra Kumar and Rinku Hari. Soon, Mumba’s Abhishek Singh made a touchpoint off Abinesh Nadaranjan and equalised scores.

Pune’s Abinesh and Shubham Shelke combined for a Super tackle and took Ajith Kumar down. U Mumba inflicted an All Out and got a massive lead of 13-9 points.

Meanwhile, Aslam conducted a do-or-die raid and got rid of three opponents. U Mumba had a slender win in the first half with 19-18 points.

The second half began with Pune captain Nitin Tomar equalising scores at 19-19. Nitin then charged from the left and speared Abhishek off the court. Pune successfully conducted an All Out and gained a one-point lead at 27-26.

U Mumba’s Ajinkya Kapre and Rinku made an impenetrable chain to eliminate Mohit Goyat. The super tackle earned Mumba two points despite Pune marching ahead of Mumba.

On the other hand, Ajith brushed off Sanket Sawant for a Super 10 before falling prey to a super tackle by Pune’s Karamvir Singh. Abinesh trapped Abhishek by holding his ankle and received a High-5.

The second half ended with Pune winning the match by two points, 36-34, against U Mumba.
