New Delhi: The Patna Pirates defeated Bengal Warriors 38-29 in the Pro Kabaddi League at the Sheraton Grand, Bengaluru, on Sunday, February 06, 2022. Bengal Warriors won the toss, and Patna Pirates went to raid first.
The first half began with Patna’s Sachin Tanwar conducting the first raid and earning two points. However, Bengal’s Maninder Singh conducted a do-or-die raid and levelled scores 2-2. Though Bengal’s Ravindra Kumawat went for a do-or-die, Patna defended the tackle and earned a point. Patna was leading 11-7.
Patna triggered a successful All-Out, followed by Sachin making a do-or-die raid and getting a touchpoint off Bengal’s Mohammad Nabibakhsh. Maninder too conducted a do-or-die raid but was ousted. Patna won the first half with 21-10 points.
Patna’s Guman Singh began the second half with a do-or-die, but Nabibakhsh stopped him as both teams received a point. Guman then conducted a successful do-or-die. Meanwhile, Patna’s Mohammadreza Chiyaneh Shadloui received a super 5.
Patna swept another All Out, and Sachin received a super 10. Patna won the match 38-29 and gained the top position on the leaderboard.
