New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday extended their greetings to the people of Telangana on the occasion of Telangana Statehood Day, lauding the state’s rich cultural heritage, entrepreneurial spirit, and contributions to the nation’s development.
In a post on X, President Murmu said, “Warm greetings to the people of Telangana on Statehood Day! Telangana is blessed with a rich cultural heritage and hardworking people. The State has made significant strides in innovation and development over the years. I wish the people of Telangana continued progress and well-being.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also conveyed his wishes to the people of the state, highlighting Telangana’s legacy of courage, determination, and innovation.
“Greetings to the people of Telangana on the special occasion of Telangana Statehood Day. The people of Telangana are known for their spirit of innovation and enterprise. The State is known for its glorious culture and history – one of courage and determination,” PM Modi said in a post on X.
Reaffirming the Centre’s commitment to the state’s progress, he added, “The Central Government is committed to supporting Telangana’s growth trajectory in realising our dream of a Viksit Bharat. Praying for the good health and success of the people of the State.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also greeted the people of Telangana and lauded the state’s vibrant culture and enterprising citizens.
“Greetings to our sisters and brothers of Telangana on their statehood day. May the state, distinguished with the vibrant culture and entrepreneurial spirit of its people, achieve heights of progress and prosperity, enhancing India’s pride,” HM Shah said in a post on X.
Telangana, which was carved out of the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh and became India’s 29th state on June 2, 2014, celebrated its Statehood Day with various official functions and cultural events across the state.
The occasion marks the culmination of a long-standing movement for separate statehood and serves as a celebration of Telangana’s unique identity, cultural heritage, and developmental achievements.
