PM to visit Assam on April 14

New Delhi, April 12: The prime minister, Narendra Modi, will be visiting Assam on April 14th and will lay the foundation stone, inaugurate the national project, and attend the Assam traditional festival celebration.

The PM will first visit the AIIMS Guwahati campus and inspect its newly built campus at around noon, where he will also lay the foundation stone for the Asam Advance Health Care Innovation Institute (AAHII) and launch the Aapke Dwar Ayushman campaign by distributing the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Ajan Arogya Yojna cards to the eligible people.

The PM will attend the programme marking the platinum jubilee celebrations at the high court in Guwahati. And later he will lay the foundation stone for various projects, including the bridge over the Brahmaputra River, which will connect the palashbari and sualkuchi, and the beautification of Rang Ghar Sivasagar.

Later, he will witness the Assam historical festival celebration bihu at around 5 p.m., where around 11000 boys and girls will participate. To welcome the prime minister, the people began the preparations for the celebration.

“Assam will witness a historical moment on April 14 as more than 11,000 boys and girls will participate in the bihu, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will witness. The prime minister’s presence will boost the morale of the people of Assam because we consider Bihu as the lifeline of Assam,” said the Assam CM, Himanta Biswa Sarma. He further added that “the programme will be unique and one of its kind, and the people of Assam are looking forward to it.”
