New Delhi: In the middle of the rising financial burden in the country and other challenges at the international level for the Islamabad government, the Prime Minister of Pakistan has expressed his views on developing good relations with India. Pakistan PM Shehbaz on Thursday said, Pakistan desired peaceful relations with India and urged the international community to play its role in this regard.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Sharif expressed these views during a meeting with the newly-appointed Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Neil Hawkins.
“The international community has to play a facilitative role in this regard, as it was essential for durable peace and stability in South Asia,” the Prime Minister said.
Sharif also highlighted the cooperation that Pakistan continued to extend to the international community in the wake of the situation in Afghanistan, particularly since August last year.
The Australian high commissioner reciprocated the desire for further strengthening of bilateral relations and conveyed profound gratitude for Pakistan’s facilitative role in the safe evacuation of their nationals and others from Afghanistan.
The Australian high commissioner thanked the Pakistan PM for receiving him and expressed his resolve to further increase and diversify the existing relations between Australia and Pakistan.
However, international political experts have also mentioned that India is the only country in the world in the current situation with whom the whole world wants to develop trade relations. The capacity to purchase, the government’s economic policies, and the huge market attract many nations to improve trade with India.
